 The Elementary Education department is responsible for implementing the Compulsory Education Law at educational institutions in Afula.

The department oversees 10 elementary schools, seven state schools, and three state-religious schools.

The department promotes achievement among students in 1st to 6th grades and cultivates students with values who contribute to the community in which they live.
