The Regular Attendance Unit is responsible for applying the Compulsory Education Law according to the 1949 version. The Unit deals in the prevention of school dropout, both hidden and overt.
Truant officers are responsible for reducing the dropout percentage and improving the situation of the child/at-risk child scholastically, socially and emotionally.
